Spanish police have arrested 14 people for dealing in pirated Microsoft software, recovering counterfeit goods that could have netted $1.52 million in illicit sales.
More than 3,000 packaged operating systems CDs - complete with forged Win XP Professional authentication certificates - were recovered in a swoop on pirates in San Sebastian this week, Reuters reports.
Spain is second only to Greece in software piracy among European countries, according to Microsoft. ®
