Freeserve has no plans to ditch its name and rebrand under the Wanadoo livery - yet.
Recent press reports claim that a £20-£30 million rebranding exercise could happen as early as next year once the ISP completes a review of the matter.
A spokeswoman for Freeserve admitted that the issue was still "under review" and that "no formal decision had been made". It's not known when a decision will be made either.
The latest flurry of speculation follows a report by the The Register in September when we noted that Freeserve was, once again, conducting a review which could result in it changing its name to that of its parent company.
Elsewhere, Freeserve also denied industry whispers currently doing the rounds that the company might be on the look out for a buyer.
"This is just rumour and speculation," said a spokeswoman. "Freeserve is strategically important to Wanadoo and France Telecom." ®
