Apple is readying its next Mac OS X 10.3 Panther update, version 10.3.2. A new build, 7D12, was released to developers and testers this past Monday.
The new release is a heftier update than version 10.3.1, which Apple made available on 10 November. That release was a compact 2.2MB, while the new version is said to be over 15MB - hardly large by modern OS update standards, but hardly a tiddler either.
Fixes in 10.3.2 include changes to networking code, graphics drivers, USB drivers, WebDAV, international text support and AppleShare server software, according to a note sent out with the latest build.
Mac OS X 10.3.1, build 7C07, provided a fix for recent Firewire 800 (http://www.theregister.co.uk/content/39/33725.html) and FileVault data encryption issues (http://www.theregister.co.uk/content/39/33769.html).
One source described the 10.3.2 update as feeling "ready for prime-time". ®
