THUS plc is to create 250 new jobs at its call centre in Glasgow.
The news from the Scottish telco is a resounding thumbs-up for Scottish workers. especially at a time when more and more companies are migrating their call centre operations overseas.
Thus says it is recruiting the extra staff to meet increased demand for its telecoms and services after securing new business with customers, including ScottishPower, Sky and Book Club Associates.
The new jobs will bring the total number of call centre staff to 800.
In a statement Thus chief exec Bill Allan said: "As a committed major employer in Scotland, the creation of these jobs provides a significant jobs boost for Glasgow and the West of Scotland."
