Sony expands LCD monitor line

Sony today said it plans to expand its LCD monitor range for business and home users with a new line of products. For the latter, it will offer the HS series comprising 15, 17 and 19in panels available in three colours: white, dark blue and grey.

More conservative corporate buyers get plain panels, presumably. But the business-oriented S series also comprises 15, 17 and 19in displays.

Sony also committed itself to continuing to offer its Trinitron CRT monitor family. No surprise there - its 21in and 24in displays, aimed at graphics, design and publishing professionals, continue to be popular with said users because of their superior image and colour quality.
