Energis is to create more than 100 jobs after announcing that it has generated more than £1bn in sales in the last six months.
The telecoms outfit began advertising the jobs - which include technical roles and consultants - over the weekend and claims the creation of new positions "reflects the growth in new business".
Indeed, it certainly is a marked turnaround from a year ago when the telco was forced to shed hundreds of jobs in a bid to slash costs.
In a statement Energis chief exec, John Pluthero, said: "We have turned this company on its head and are creating a sharp and focused business, unlike other telcos who seem unable to shake off the deeply ingrained habits of this industry which have resulted in uncommercial behaviour and poor service."
Over the last couple of months Energis has renewed contracts with a number of outfits including Freeserve and Dixons, as well as adding new accounts such as Tesco and the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS). ®
