Apex Business Systems, the UK's biggest Sage reseller, has merged with Orlando IT, a rival, in a deal "said to be worth over £9m".

Why so coy - surely the press release writer knows how much the gig is worth. And is it a merger - useful for tax purposes - or is Apex buying Orlando IT?

No jobs are lost in the deal: Orlando IT's Manchester HQ is to be converted into a training centre and staff are moving into Apex's Cheshire base. As well as Sage mid-range experience, Orlando IT brings Microsoft Navision experience and customers to the party. ®
