An Essex schoolboy is currently under police investigation after he sent an "extremely abusive email" to staff at search outfit Ask Jeeves.
The 72-word rant contained a heavy sprinkling of expletives before ending with the threat of bodily harm.
It seems, he was dissatisfied with the performance of the Ask Jeeves search engine.
Unfortunately, he sent the email from his school email account, so Ask Jeeves decided to forward it to his headmaster.
According to sources, the lad concerned has now been suspended, although this has yet to be confirmed by the school.
A spokesman for Essex police told us that the matter is under investigation and that the boy has not been arrested.
At this stage it's not clear if a criminal act has been committed.
A spokesman for Ask Jeeves declined to comment on the incident since the matter involved a minor and was currently the subject of a police investigation.
No one at the school was available for comment at the time of writing. ®
