BT is working to fix a problem that hit its Business Broadband service over the weekend, denying some customers access to email or the Web.
One of BT's hacked-off punters told us: "BT's Business Broadband has been down for well over 48hrs now...last time we called them yesterday [Sunday] they said they still didn't know what the problem was."
However, an update on BTopenworld's status page nails the problem as a fault "affecting some of our Static IP address customers, which is allocating a dynamic IP address instead of the correct Static IP address".
A spokeswoman for BTopenworld explained that only a tiny minority of its business broadband users are affected by the snag.
Indeed, so far only 93 customers - out of around 80,000 business customers - have been identified as being hit by the problem.
BT says it should all be sorted by the end of the day. ®
