NTL to exit Chapter 11 soon
'in the very near future'

NTL looks set to miss its deadline of emerging from Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection by the end of the month.
When it published its latest results two weeks ago the company said that it hoped to exit Chapter 11 by the end of November. But in a statement this afternoon the company said it expected to reach an agreement "in the very near future".
NTL sought bankruptcy protection earlier this year after racking up debts of $11bn. ®
