Crucial Technology is to start selling two ATI graphics cards through its European web site with immediate effect (Crucial US has been selling graphics cards for a wee while - of course).

Two versions are available. First up is a performance -game card - the Crucial Radeon 9700 Pro, retailing at 237.59 of our "British pounds", as the company quaintly dubs our currency. Next in line is the Crucial Radeon 8500LE, pitched at the old PC upgrade market. This retails for £71.09.

ATI has an exclusive retail relationship in Europe with Guillemot, but we guess this is bricks and mortar only, seeing as how Crucial is the online retail arm of memory maker Micron.

The only surprise with today's announcement is just how long Crucial has taken to branch out into selling different components. ®
