Vodafone and Vivendi confirm Vizzavi talks

Vodafone Group Plc and Vivendi Universal have confirmed that they are deep in discussion concerning the future of their Internet love child Vizzavi.

In a statement Vodafone said that the discussions "may lead to an offer by Vodafone to acquire all or a part of Vivendi's shareholding in Vizzavi".

Then again, they might not.

Point is, we won't know any more officially until all the negotiations have taken place.

Today's confirmation follows earlier press speculation that Vodafone was looking buy-out Vivendi's share in Vizzavi.

Shares in Vodafone were up 4p at 104.75p by mid afternoon. ®
