We've just heard back from the BBC after we called this morning about some unusual results from its new "editorially independent" search engine.
One of our vulture-eyed readers spotted that if you entered "Virgin Radio" or "Classic FM" it returned BBC-related Web sites at the top of the search listings.
And that's despite the Beeb's proud boast that "Our Web search is editorially independent."
So what was up?
A spokesman for the BBC told us that the results were down to a "technical error" and had now been rectified. ®
