Electronic Boutique UK shareholders yesterday approved the name change of the company to THE GAME GROUP PLC. The name change takes effect within three working days, and all EBUK stores will get a GAME makeover.

Electronics Boutique announced its intention to change its name in January this year. It owns the Game name through acquisition - Game was a rival UK games software chain, acquired in 1999.

Last week, EBUK announced its intention to see if it could legally terminate a services agreement with Electronics Boutique Inc., of America, which sees the company pay one per cent of turnover to its US namesake. ®
