Virgin Mobile creates 200 Wilts jobs

Virgin Mobile is creating 200 new jobs at its Wiltshire HQ in Trowbridge.

The new positions are in Virgin's customer support centre and will take staff numbers at the company to almost 1,500 employees.

Virgin Mobile reports that business is booming and expects soon to report strong sales figures for the first three months of 2002.

The company hopes that it can attract new people from the region who have recently been made redundant.

Virgin mobile - the UK's fifth mobile operator - is a 50-50 joint venture company between Virgin Group and T-Mobile and has more than 1.6 million customers. ®
