Palm Vice President and Chief Competitive Officer Michael Mace tell us he hasn't attend rival conferences under a pseudonym.
He writes:-
Your story is incorrect. I've *never* attended a conference under an assumed name (I don't operate that way). I also haven't had time to attend any rival developer conferences for years -- members of my team go. Under their own names.
I have a mental picture of an intrepid Register reporter following around some poor guy named Michael Mates* at a conference, shouting, "admit it, you're from Palm, come on -- admit it!!" Next time you see the guy, you owe him an apology.
