Channel paves way for Intel P4 price cuts (with price cuts)

The channel checkers at Fechtor Detwiler are noting strong activity to sell off Intel P4 inventory in the spot market for in advance of the chip giant's price cuts, due at the end of the month.
Many US and European resellers are already cutting prices on 1.5GHz -1.9GHz P4s, and the clearance sale should last into next week.
As Fechtor Detwiler notes, purchasers will "typically halt buying a few days before the price drop to make sure they are not stuck with the higher priced CPUs".
Intel's new price list goes live on January 27, with new prices anything from 10-30 per cent today. ®
