Hermit, our beloved forum moderator, has died.

R. Don Martin lived in Oregon and was one of the first contributors to The Register forum - we liked his style, and Reg co-founder Mike Magee asked him to moderate. Which he did (and latterly with The Inquirer forum too) with grace and wit.

Hermit was nearly 70 and suffered from emphysema. We shall miss him. ®
