AMD is cutting the prices of its Athlon XP processors on 29 October - the day after Intel kicks in (http://www.theregister.co.uk/content/3/22184.html) with its own price cuts.
The new prices are
- XP 1500+ $115
- XP 1600+ $124
- XP 1700+ $152
- XP 1800+ $210
The chips arrived on 9 October priced at
- XP 1500+ $130
- XP 1600+ $160
- XP 1700+ $190
- XP 1800+ $252
The prices are for 1,000 unit quantities. ®
