Palm's follow-up to its m505 PDA, the m525, will connect to the outside world through a Bluetooth wireless link.
That's what a "source who has asked to remain anonymous" has told Palm Infocenter, at any rate. Said source also indicated that the m525 will boast a better screen than the m505, although the screen resolution and colour depth of the older model will be retained in the new one.
As the cost of Bluetooth components falls, adding such functionality to a high-end PDA would seem a logical move for Palm to make. It has often expressed its support for Bluetooth in the past, and is already preparing a Bluetooth SD card add-in for the current m50x family.
Previous rumours concerning the m525 have centred on its 16MB of memory and its launch next March, almost certainly at the CeBIT show in Hannover - the host of many a high-end Palm announcement. ®
