VIA Technologies has offered to donate $1 million to the US to help with relief work.
According to the Taipei Times VIA is waiting for a response from the US on how best to make its donation - in cash or in relief materials.
The paper quotes VIA General Manager Chen Wen-chi saying: "We are saddened by the disaster so we want to do something." ®
