Updated You've Max Powered your motor - given her full body skirts, splitter, ICE system, tinted windows, chipped the engine, dropped the suspension, got some gold effect alloys, bucket seats, had a respray and removed the silencer - so what else could you want?

May we suggest the L1NUX number plate to complete the job. Or if you can't have that how about a sneakily adapted L7NUX.

Something that looks like L1NUX is up for sale on eBay UK. But since we first published the story a lot of readers have pointed out the 1 looks like a 7 with a stunted stroke across the top. The seller never refers to the plate number as L1NUX.

Plus, we've had one reader write in saying he has been the DVLA registered holder of this registration mark since around 1993. We're waiting to have a chat with him.

The sale description says: "LINUX UK Car registration A must for the techies among us. I will pay the DVLA transfer fee. Enjoy it. Love it. Live Free. LINUX"

What else could turn your road beast into a fully fledged penis extension? The bid's currently at £5 but you know it'll do better than that.* ®

* Can't we all use it for free? So long as we promise that if we change it, everybody else can use the number we change it to for free as well? - Ed

Bootnote

Since we posted the story the bid figure is £6,600 but the reserve has not been met. We've been warned that the reserve might be so high the plate is never sold - its a good way of testing the market value of something.
