Crucial.com, Micron's online retail subsidiary, has launched an online memory calculator for system builders.

This is designed to help PC makers work out how much memory their systems need to optimise performance.

Crucial bases its recommendations upon the results of
tests carried out in its performance labs on 120+ system configurations.

System builders choose motherboard, CPU, OS and benchmark test. Crucial's Memory Calculator then pumps out a graph showing how the system performs with different amounts of RAM.

The memory calculator is here. ®
