Kyro II sails through Windows testing
Good news for Imagination
Kyro II, ST Microelectronics' 3D graphics accelerator, has passed hardware and software compatability tests set by the Windows Hardware Quality Lab (WHQL). This means that system builders don't have to do the tests themselves.
It's also good news for Imagination Technologies, the 3D graphics chip designer, which, following the demise of the Sega Dreamcast console, relies on STMicroelectronics for the bulk of its revenues. ®
