Acequote.com has announced an addition to its online B2B marketplace for the channel.

Instead of resellers ploughing through every distributor's site via Acequote in order to compare quotes for orders, they are now being promised a system that will flash all the distie prices up on screen in the form of a table.

The aim, according to Acequote MD Gary Munz, is to save time by resellers being able to compare real-time prices from distributors.

The outfit's Munich-based parent company, DCI, is already running the "Webpilot" scheme in Germany on its site Webtradecenter.de, which has around 20,000 resellers signed up.

Acequote, the UK arm of DCI, has around 7,000 resellers that pay a subscription to access the site, which offers a reverse auction system. It is currently testing the scheme, which is expected to kick off here by the end of June. ®
