Cadac has bought rival Autodesk dealer EDC Photonic, consolidating its position as the UK's biggest reseller - for the CAD design software company.

With EDC Photonic's 40 staff under its belt, Cadac is bulking up to address bigger companies and a wider market of what it calls 'engineering information management'.

Post-merger, the company will be called
Photonic AIS.
