Mobile application security vulnerability report

Juniper Networks today posted markedly increased revenues for its first quarter, bucking the trend of poor financial results from networking equipment suppliers

Juniper, which supplies high-end routers to service providers in competition with Cisco Systems, reported net revenues of $332.1 million, compared with $63.9 million for the same period last year, an increase of 420 per cent. Juniper recorded a net income of $58.6 million this quarter, compared with net income of $8.1 million for last year.

In recent week, industry heavyweights Cisco, Nortel and Lucent have all slashed sales estimates and shed jobs. However Juniper's figures suggest that it is coping better with the slowdown in the US economy and weak demand from service providers that is affecting others in the industry.

Juniper, whose main product is called the M40, is clearly driving Cisco towards the telecommunications supplier's equivalent of Coventry*... ®
