Intel drops 900MHz PIII

OEMs told last orders 30 March

Intel has warned its OEM customers it will phase out 900MHz Pentium IIIs by the end of March.

The product will be discontinued by June 3 and last day for orders is March 30 reports TechWeb.

PIII's are in most demand with the 133MHz front side bus, so the PIIIs using the 100MHz bus are being ditched. ®
