It's nice to see they are finally realising that current Tiny owners wanted to buy another one....

I bought a Tiny PII in 97. Then all the printer, scanner and stuff over the next couple of years.

When I went into the Exeter showroom last September ready to spend my £1500, I was told I could only have a system, if I had a printer, scanner AND DESK as well. (The printer and scanner being bottom of the range - and I already had better).

When I asked the sales man - do you not care that I as a returning customer would probably already have all these peripherals, and thus - just want a base system? He replied - we are really only interested in first time buyers (which I took to read as - we want to rip off the idiots).

So I said thanks very much and left the shop - effectively being told he didn't want to sell me a PC (unless I had the desk and scanner, he compromised on the printer - and knocked £40 off the price !). I walked 100m up the road to Gateway and got a custom system - delivered in 7 days.

Service with a smile then... Anyone else had a similar experience?
