Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Backup/Recovery

Totalise has moved quickly to dampen speculation that the dotcom is in financial difficulties.

In an email circulated to shareholders, the company said that "a situation has arisen that requires the Company to hold an extraordinary general meeting under section 142 of the Companies Act 1985".

In these days of dotcom paranoia it appears that some shareholders have interpreted this as a precursor to Totalise going titsup.com.

Not so, says Totalise.

"This is merely a technical accounting formality," said an informed spokeswoman for Totalise.

"We're not in any trouble at all," she said.
