More than 11 million people use the Internet at home in Britain - an increase of three million compared to a year ago - according to Internet monitoring company NetValue.
Women make up 4.66 million users (40 per cent) of the home Internet audience while "silver surfers" (the over 50s) account for a fifth of the UK Net population.
Some 600,000 kids under the age of 14 use the Net from home. ®
