Italian ISP Tiscali is looking favourite to buy LineOne according to the Telegraph. Tiscali has offered £200 million for the BT and United News & Media joint venture, which was put up sale by auction in November 2000. The sellers hope to close the deal next month.
Corporate Net services business Idesk has managed to find funding where others have failed and bagged £10 million to develop new products. It has managed to raise a total to £27 million since the start of 2000.
Another dotcom defying market odds and getting some venture capital is Immoeuro, an online exchange for the property sector. It has just got £6.5 million in a third round of funding. ®
