A man who lived totally off the internet for a year and changed his name to DotComGuy is returning to the real world and planning to marry a woman he met online.
DotComGuy, who will now revert to using his former name Mitch Maddox, ordered all the things he needed online during the year-long stunt and had them delivered to his Dallas apartment.
The IT companies who sponsoured DotComGuy hoped his experiences would encourage other to buy online however the man himself admits he was frequently bored.
However the year wasn't a total waste of time because he met his fiancée Crystalyn Anne Holubeck in a chatroom on DotComGuy's website. No date has yet been set for the couple's marriage. ®
