Russian police have swooped on two suspects accused of selling child porn over the Net in Europe and the US.

The two were arrested on Wednesday night - one in a Moscow apartment and the other in a military hospital in St Petersburg. Police seized 588 video cassettes, 112 video discs, and more than 1,000 pornography photos, some of them involving children.

Both suspects were unemployed men, aged 30 and 28, and were accused of selling the material online and through the mail.

British and US police forces also played a role in the arrests, Reuters reported. ®
