Multiplatform games outfit Gameplay has lost its UK MD and replaced him with a triumvirate of executives.
No official announcement has been made yet but according to sources close to the company, Gameplay CEO Mark Bernstein told staff yesterday that Tim Coles would be leaving.
Coles has already left the company and it's not known yet whether he was pushed - or walked of his own accord. We have our suspicions.
According to sources, Gameplay UK will be run by Andy Mee (Director of Marketing), Andy Doyle
(Director of HR) and Lisa Burke (UK Financial Controller). A three-for-one deal - Coles should be flattered. Or not, as the case may be.
A spokeswoman for Gameplay confirmed Coles had left the company but declined to say why. She also said, mysteriously, that there would be "several changes happening in the next few days".
Last month, Coles axed 20 staff and closed two offices.
Still, you can't blame Gameplay for being slow to react. Coles' biog and mugshot has already disappeared from the company's Web site. Touching, no? ®
