Monster PR outfit Hill & Knowlton is obviously doing well - but is it doing too well? Is it just too big for its own good? For it appears the global PR outfit is so big it doesn't even know its own clients.

We only phoned this morning for an update on the 'LineOne for sale' story, but ended up in a right old tangle - and all because someone didn't have an up-to-date client list.

Said an increasingly impatient receptionist, who was adamant that if it wasn't on her list, they didn't exist: "Are you sure LineOne isn't known by another name?" Yes, love, but we doubt that would be in your book either. ®
