Free whitepaper – Thermal design of Dell PowerEdge server

From this week Net users can register domain names with Korean, Japanese and Chinese (both traditional and simplified) characters.

The service, due to go live on Thursday, is part of a trial which is expected to expand to support Russian, Turkish and Arabic characters. Until now, punters have been able to register only URLs using letters from the Roman alphabet.

The multi-lingual domain names still end with .com, .net, etc. But the different characters in the URL will be translated into ASCII-compatible representations.

Between them, Korea, Japan and China have around 50 million active surfers. ®
