DTI body seeks resellers for SME advice

Technology Means Business (TMB), a new Government-funded body which provides technical advice to SMEs, is calling on resellers to apply for accreditation for its professional industry standard.

Armed with the qualification - "it takes as little as a month" - IT resellers join a national register of TMB advisers. This list is to be marketed to SMEs.

TMB says it is "essential for IT Resellers to demonstrate that they have attained a nationally recognised level of competence in the field of business and IT advice".

TMB is backed by the DTI, supported by BT, Compaq, Intel and Microsoft and run by the Institute of Management. It launches its service to SMEs next month. ®
