Secure remote control for conventional and virtual desktops

Updated PalmOS licensee Handspring's upcoming colour PDA, the Visor Prism, has made an unexpected early appearance on the Web.

The Prism, seen running a version of SimCity, actually appeared in Yahoo!'s Internet Life mag (page 131, apparently) as an illustration alongside an interview about handhelds, but was quickly scanned and posted by a Palm fan, according to PalmStation.com.

The Internet Life illustration dubs the device shown a Visor Prism. We weren't aware of a colour PalmOS version of SimCity, but thanks to the many Register readers who pointe out there is a version of the god sim, released just after the colour Palm IIIc was launched (see link, below).

Speaking of which, just like the IIIc, the Visor Prism appears to have a smaller screen than the regular Visor, suggesting that if it is a fake, it's a very clever one. It's certainly very well done. You can decide by checking out the scans here. ®
