One of my flatmates has so far met two women over the net who he has ended up in relationships with. One lasted 4 years (and was with an American, but you can't have everything), the other is still ongoing
(one year 2 months) and she's moved from Southampton to Scotland to be with him.

So it is possible, but you have to put up with long distance relationships.

Hint : use ICQ and then search on Age and location.

I was "found" by a girlie who did this to me a year back.

When we broke up - I then used her tactic and searched Icq - it's amazing HOW quick these girls will get chatting.

There's also the approach a friend has used for > 3 years now - hang around the local newsgroups (eg uk.local.southwest for down here) or local IRC channels. Most of these have big piss-ups (they call them meets) and he's ended up in two long-term relationships with it.
