We solve one of the Net's biggest hassles
Speed up those Web site conversations
It's an irritating, time-consuming and often unnecessary part of any conversation involving Web sites, but worry no more. What are we on about? Tautology. "Double-u, double-u, double-u dot". It's a pain in the arse, admit it.
And so, in our spare time, we've been searching for a suitable alternative to this tongue-tying nonsense. And then lo! Yesterday, after having mentioned the names of three Web sites in the previous five minutes, an instinctive urge came over us and the word was spat out - and, more importantly, understood instinctively.
What was it? "Wonk". Like "wonk, the register dot co dot you kay". What d'you all think? Does it work for you? ®
