Toshiba has signed a deal worth up to $5 billion to supply Dell Computer with components for three years.
Under the deal, direct PC seller Dell will buy LCD monitors, chips and storage products on a worldwide basis from Toshiba America Electronics Components - a division of Japanese vendor Toshiba.
The two aim to add more products to the agreement - such as batteries and colour display tubes - at a later date. The deal will initially run for three years, then will be renewable in one-year increments. ®
