Agentless Backup is Not a Myth

Three men have been arrested by the National Crime Squad in connection with the theft of hundreds of thousands of pounds from online bank Egg.com.

Following a six-month investigation police made dawn raids on seven homes in Buckinghamshire. The robbery is thought to have been carried out by an organised crime syndicate.

Police confiscated computer equipment, documents, cash and drugs during the raid, a police spokeswoman said. It has not yet emerged what charges have been brought against the men.

Egg said that its security remained tight and that no money had been taken from customer accounts. ®
