Officers from West Midlands Police are in Australia investigating a A$17 million (£6.7 million) Internet-related fraud.
Details are still sketchy but it's understood that those involved used the Net to divert cash from Australian companies before transferring it to different overseas accounts.
The fraudsters then posed as company directors to draw out the cash at foreign banks.
According to AFP, no one has been arrested yet although a number of suspects are under surveillance.
No one at the West Midlands Police fraud squad was available for comment by press time. ®
