Beginner's guide to SSL certificates

Mac-based Register readers can now search the site using Apple's Sherlock technology. Simply click on the Download Now link below, if necessary decode the file using Stuffit Expander 5 and place the file register.src on your Mac's closed System Folder icon. Fire up Sherlock from the Apple menu, click on the Search Internet tab, and make sure the register icon is checked. Now you're ready to search The Register! DOWNLOAD NOW (5KB). Current version: 1.0.3 The current version is a beta release - we hope to post a final version shortly. Right now, Sherlock's auto-update feature damages the downloaded file, so don't use it.
