According to extensive research by 100hot.com, The Register comes in at number 13 in the hit parade, way above the likes of MSN UK (17), The Times (24), Amazon.co.uk (33) and the London Evening Standard’s Web site ThisIsLondon (46). And before you say it, 13 not unlucky for us -- but obviously it is for the likes of ZDNet UK which could only manage a pitiful 56. The rest -- including Silicon.com, VNU Newswire and all the other pretenders -- don't even register. Register, geddit? In a shameless piece of crowing, that was all the more remarkable since he was blowing his own trumpet at the same time, a representative of Vulture HQ said: "Unaccustomed as we are to gloating…" ®
