Japanese stores are beginning to sell Rise processors in Japan, with an mP6 266 (200MHz) processor costing ¥5,800, not much more than $50 or so. The evidence, together with pictures is available here (http://www.watch.impress.co.jp/akiba/hotline/990403/mp6.html) At the same time, PC 133 SDRAM sales have started in Japan, according to the same site, with motherboard support. A 128Mb module costs ¥26,800, according to the pictures. The modules are made by Princeton, Samsung, Micron and Toshiba, the text suggests.
