Singapore member arrested

Watch Now : Virtual Machine Movement with Hyper-V

If you thought that the Web was sad enough already, think on.

Local Singapore paper The Straits Times reported today that 19 year old Lester Tang was arrested earlier this week for allegedly being involved in the creation of the Ang Soon Tong website. The site, hosted in the US, included pictures of secret society songs, tattoos and young girls, said the Singapore police. Singapore takes a dim view of the Internet's potential for corrupting youth. Youths in Singapore who chant Tong slogans are liable to prison sentences of between six months and two years. But Singapore is like a pussy cat compared to Red China. Earlier this week, two hackers were sentenced to death in the country for obtaining over £20,000 through their skills. In Norway, hacking is legal -- as reported here earlier this week. ®
